A boy and his mom went out to eat. When they were done and were walking to the car, they saw an elderly lady on her wheelchair. They stopped to talk to the lady. Unbeknownst to the mom, the boy picked some flowers from the side of the restaurant. While the mom and the lady were talking, the boy, without any prompting, offered the flowers to the lady.
The lady had the biggest smile on her face. The lady cradled those flowers like they were made of silk. The lady told the boy, "I'm going to put this in a vase when I get home". Who knew such a simple gesture would bring such joy?
This is a true story. I should know, I was there and I've never been more proud of the boy.
